At first I thought the new IS looked a little too fussy up front. If anything, the previous IS looked a little more elegant. Then I thought to myself, this is a refreshing break from the usual German opposition and seeing one in Lapis Lazuli Mica, I can say I've warmed up to it. Opponauts, any cars you thought were meh at first but grew to like them?

F30 BMW- Wasn't crazy about it at first, but now it's quite nice.

I didn't like the new Merc E-Class. I thought it had bug eyes and didn't look as elegant as before. I saw one at work the other day and I rather liked it. The coupe/convertible looks aggressive

I thought the cayman was super ugly when it first came out. I've warmed enough to it that I now think its one of the sexiest cars on the road.
Boomerang headlights on the 370 z still look wrong to me, but I've warmed to them slightly.

When I saw the Cherokee leaked images I was like "err wat?"
But after seeing the production version in Trailhawk form, I am a fan.

Another post because IS topic here .... The front never really bothered me, and I do like the back. What I don't like is how damn boring the whole body side is. Its almost as if its whispering (not yelling because its not exciting) hey I was designed in 2002.

The Juke really grew on me. The front end is still a bit over-styled, but on the whole, I kinda like it.

C7 Corvette. I still don't like the hard top but the vert is pretty sexy.

I hated the Panamera when it first came out. I thought it was hideous. But now I'm a downright fan.

Me too. I hated them at first, but it rapidly grew on me. Good thing, too, since my partner bought one a few months ago.

Just make sure you always park it so you never have to see this:

This is not a good-looking car. But, as happens to me with many cars, learning how great it is to drive and how fast it is around a track often changes my perception.
See: C5 Z06, GT-R, etc.

+1 for the cayman. 20-25k for a basemodel still. WHAT!? I wasn't looking in the classfieds just now at them. That is crazy talk. That is S2000 money also.

It is just a hatchback. Driving up on them or seeing them around I am like oh what is that. Damn it its a juke. Then I am like meh looks good. I'll never admit that to anyone in public tho. You guys understand.

So well written, okay I concede.

I still can't decide on this one:
I will concede that it looks much better/interesting in person than in pictures.

I agree, the Panamera has grown on me as well. At first it may not be pleasing to the eye, but the more I see it in person the more I start to understand what Porsche was going for.

Still not a fan of the Juke (aka Joke or Frog). The rear end looks okay, but I still laugh when I see one in the rear view mirror or coming at me.

BMW X6, particularly in X6 M form. Used to dislike it, but started secretly lusting it and now kinda sorta would like one, but only if the Audi A7/S7 didn't exist.

Wedge shaped cars from the late 80s-early 90s....I hated them so much... the rx-7 old supra, old mr2. Now I find myself seeking one out as a fun project/mad max vehicle
